Saci (d'après René Magritte)
The legend of Saci-Pererê appeared in the 19th century and it belongs to Guarani Indigenous People tradition. He spread to the rest of Brazil and absorbed other characteristics, such as the habit of smoking a pipe, becoming a black boy wearing a red hat, with a single leg and hands with pierced palms. He likes to do pranks and little mischief. But in fact he protects the Brazilian forests.
