Hello!
I am a design student at École Intuit Lab, and here I’ll share the characters I created for a project in my illustration discipline. In this project, we had to invent an entire universe and its inhabitants — so welcome to the MAVERSE!

Inspired by the Japanese concept of Ma (間) — the “space in between” — this universe is populated by creatures that dwell in the gaps we rarely notice: the silence between words, the pause between musical notes, the shadow between lights.
In the MAVERSE, nothing exists fully on its own. Every being is born from the intervals that give shape and meaning to life. Through these characters, I explore how unseen presences manifest — sometimes as guardians of balance, sometimes as playful, and at times as unsettling echoes of the void.
