Diego Armando Maradona was an Argentine professional football player and manager. He had a troubled off-field life and was banned in both 1991 and 1994 for abusing drugs. "The hand of God was a phrase used by Argentine footballer Diego Maradona to describe a goal that he scored during the Argentina v England quarter finals match of the 1986 FIFA World Cup.
