Jurijs Tatarkins is a Latvian comics artist and illustrator based in Riga. He studied printmaking at the Art Academy of Latvia.
His comics have appeared in Kuš!, Kuti, and Komikaze, among other publications. Recent work includes Unrest (Fieldmouse Press, 2025) and Welcome to Casa Baba (Kuš! Comics, 2024). Since 2022, Tatarkins has co-organized Sābrs, a festival for zines and small publishers in Latvia. He has participated in residencies at Fiskars (Finland) and Prague, and leads workshops internationally.
