Hoan Phan, born and raised in a small town in the middle part of Vietnam, where grow a lot of coffee, tobacco, and black pepper, is currently based in Tokyo. Mixing traditional inking techniques with digital rendering, he brings ideas to life with expressive line work and bold colors. He likes to draw everything and anything, doesn’t limit himself to any subjects because for him, it’s a part of being an artist—constantly creating new work, experimenting with new techniques, and tapping into any subjects that matter. This mindset shapes the versatility in his work, helping to cover a wide range of projects, from decorative art and advertising to books and branding.
